Entry requirements and suitability
There are no training package entry requirements or prerequisites specified for this unit. Students should be at least 18 years of age, physically able to participate in operational environments, and able to read technical information, communicate with team members and complete assessment documentation. Students must be fit for work and comply with workplace health and safety procedures.
Course Delivery
This course is delivered through flexible pathways. Pathway A combines approximately 16 hours of self-paced online pre-learning with a one-day face-to-face workshop. Pathway B is delivered as a three-day face-to-face workshop. Training may be delivered at a suitable client facility or training location, subject to equipment access, site suitability and safe working conditions.
Assessment requirements
Assessment is competency-based and includes written and practical tasks aligned to NWPNET059 and current workplace practices. Students must demonstrate the required skills and knowledge before a competency outcome can be awarded.
Recognition of prior learning
Students with existing skills, knowledge or prior education in conduit inspection supervision or reporting should discuss this during enrolment. RPL or an assessment-only pathway may be available where evidence is sufficient, current, valid and authentic.
